Medieval lady by Paula Pertile

Paula knew she wanted to "color for money" some day after winning $5 in a coloring contest in the 3rd grade.
So when she grew up she went to the Academy of Art in San Francisco, where she learned to color really really well.

She's drawn pictures for retail displays, movies, advertising and editorial clients, greeting card companies, and more.
Currently she's focused on art for children's books, licensing, architectural rendering, "fine art",
and work for various corporate and private clients.

Her work

Colored pencils are Paula's favorite medium, but she also works in watercolors, gouache, graphite and ink.

She's currently working on a new idea for a series of children's books, as well as collections for licensing.
With her fine art work she's interested in exploring the ideas of gravity, weight and levitation, using food as a subject.
She also loves to draw everyday objects or food "just sitting there".
