I love yarn.
I love to knit with it, and I love drawing and painting it.
There's something about it that makes it a very satisfying subject matter for me to use in my art.
Its tactile, soft, interesting, playful, serious, versatile and and and...
I think it will be fun to see how these evolve.
My favorite pencils are Faber-Castel Polychromos, but I also like Derwent Graphitints for their muted colors.
I've also done some experimenting with Derwent Coloursofts, Derwent Drawing and Cretacolors, and have rediscovered plain old graphite.
These pieces are done with a combination of all of the above.
