PRICES & HOW TO ORDER

Ordering a custom drawing is easy. After you email me to let me know what you'd like drawn, and we discuss the details, you will send me photos to work from. I will do your drawing, and send you a jpg of it for approval when its finished. You will pay me, and I will send your art. And we'll both be happy!

I work from your photos. At least one clear, in focus, high resolution reference photo (either digital or a hard copy) is essential for me to make a decent drawing. More than one is sometimes better. You can send me jpgs, or send hard copies by mail.

For House and Building Portraits:
Either a  'straight on' or 'angled' view is OK. Additional photos of special details like a door or window, architectural trim, etc. are helpful. I can add flowers to plants, or take out shrubberies, drainpipes, or other bits that you don't like. I always remove power lines, telephone poles, etc.

For Food and Still Life Drawings:

It depends on what you'd like drawn. If its food, and I can buy it myself, I will, and will take my own reference photos. If you'd like some kind of food drawn that's not available to me here in the USA, you may have to send it to me! If you have photos of something else you'd like drawn (still life objects, not food), I can work with those. We'll figure it out, depending on what you'd like me to draw for you.

For Pet Portraits:

Again, I work from your photos. The better the photo you have of your pet, the better my drawing will be.

One with the eyes looking really good is helpful, as getting the eyes right can really 'make' the drawing.

One with a 'typical pose' or one that somehow shows the pet's personality is good too.

I will carefully wrap your drawing, and send it via USPS Priority Mail with insurance within the USA. I use International First Class Mail everywhere else. The price for shipping will be worked out when its time to actually ship the art (within the USA its usually around $20. International can be quite a bit more). Other shipping methods can always be arranged.

Turnaround time for a drawing varies, depending on my schedule. Please allow 2-3 weeks, and if you need something for a holiday or special occasion, please try to contact me far enough in advance! Sometimes I can squeeze one in if you have an art emergency, so don't be afraid to ask.

MATERIALS:

Your custom drawing will be rendered with professional grade colored pencils on archival paper, so the drawing will last for generations.

(My black and white drawings are done with black colored pencils, not graphite.)

It will be sprayed with a fixative to help prevent smudging.

I sign the back of the art, and also include a certificate of authenticity, which can be fastened to the back after framing.

Framing is not included, but I am more than happy to help you discuss framing options.
